"Speed" - a commission for a living room wall - July 2010
We chose the fabric colours to match the room's plush fawn couch, with accents of deep brown in the curtains and cerise in the cushions; the subject came from a chance reading "then I remembered something close to her heart....."
Fabric piecing, painted Lutrador layers and some hand stitching. The large dog is machine embroidered as a slip.

Beginnings: 2010
29 March - 10 April: Small exhibition of art textiles on display at North Shields Library
New to the area, I thought to 'put a toe in the water' of local society with a display of my textile pieces, and possibly some new ones of Venice, and of Northumberland.
Newcastle University: Completing "Creative Writing + Psychology at Newcastle University in November/December 2009 has whet my appetite to hone my writing skills with another:
April/May: "Improvisation + Adaptation"
October 2010: Applied to study PG Dip in Creative Writing with view to writing for teens and young adults.

4 printed at home, using a spoon!!!! Not the best results.......
